Who thought that delicate, pretty flowers could look so agressive and edgy?! This trend is going to be a summer trend that everyone will be rocking. But the way to rock it is by wearing a dress smothered in 2D or 3D flowers (this will give maximum impact). So, this season (SS14) flowers have had a transformation from something bright and nice, to something nasty and poisoness. But I have to admit I think flowers have had a really great make over, as they are now totally opposite to the normal appearance we all associate them with. So, instead of looking sweet and innocent whilst wearing flowers, you will be incorporating the whole punk and grungy feel. Hopefully that will give you some inspiration for what type of flowers and colours to rock. Designers such as Christian Dior, Mulberry and Vivienne Westwood were using the edgy trend to toughen up flowers.
